I believe lives can be changed and hearts can be touched by the written word.  Whether its a magazine article, blog post or sharing my life experiences, I try to provide a unique perspective that brings fresh insight.  I have much to say, but I say it best on paper.  Writing, much like the spoken word, is a very powerful tool.  My goal is to inspire hope in those who need it most while sharing my own personal successes, failures, losses & victories.  I will be authentic in every way possible.  I am an emotional person by nature,  therefore, I will hold nothing back as you experience getting to know the real, messy, redeemed me.  God’s love is bigger than our failures and shortcomings, and my life is proof of this.

I have lived most of my life in the beautiful mountains of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.  I am married to an amazing and passionate woman who has to live with all my crazy ups and downs (God bless her).  We have two awesome daughters, Skylar & Addison who are the best any man could ever ask for.  Together we launched a successful nonprofit ministry called New Creation, which creatively combats sex trafficking with a local heart and a global focus.

When not writing, I work full time alongside my wife.  I also enjoy playing drums on my church’s worship team, serving on the ministry team and spending time with my family.  I love love, love the mountains of home.  To me, there is no place better to find peace and solace in a loud and crazy world.  I also long for the mission field as often as possible.  When not trying to convince my wife to let me buy a dog, I relax with an evening of video games, watching my family’s favorite shows or any other way we can find to relax.
